On November 9th, Chinese sprinter Su Bingtian has been appointed to the Athletes Commission of World Athletics, formerly known as World Althletes.
During the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, six athletes were elected to the Commission following a vote by accredited athletes. The six are French pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie, New Zealand's shot putter Valerie Adams, distance runner Bernard Lagat of the United States, Belgian sprinter Kevin Borlee, pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi from Greece and middle distance runner Aisha Praught-Leer of Jamaica.
In Su Bingtian's personal account on social media platform, he expressed his gratitude and excitement. "Many thanks to the WA and China Track and Field Team for the trust and support! This doesn't come easy. I will cherish it, fulfill my duties, live up to everybody's expectation, and voice for the athletes!"
