On February 22, Beijing time, the two-day 2025 National Indoor Athletics Grand Prix (4th leg) and the World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing 25 Test Event kicked off in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. On the first day, Niu Chunge won the women's pole vault final with a height of 4.47 meters.

During the competition, Niu Chunge easily secured her victory by clearing 4.3 meters on her first attempt, successfully locking in the championship. On her second attempt, she improved her performance to 4.47 meters. In subsequent attempts, she attempted to clear 4.57 meters but was unsuccessful, though she gained valuable experience for future competitions. She Chenyao and Zhang Lingyan from the Anhui team took second and third place with heights of 4.15 meters and 3.8 meters, respectively.

In a post-race interview, Niu Chunge said, "Although I won the championship, there is still a gap from my personal best. The issues exposed during the competition will be analyzed with my coach through video review, and improvements will be made in training. I also hope to form a healthy competitive relationship with other athletes on the field, encouraging each other to strive and improve." When discussing the upcoming World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing next month, Niu expressed her eagerness to participate and her determination to work towards this goal. Regardingthis year's National Games, she hopes to stand on the highest podium and keep improving herself.

Regarding the newly built Nanjing Indoor Athletics Stadium, known as the "Nanjing's Cube", Niu Chunge praised its excellent hardware facilities and thoughtful design. She noted that the high-quality flooring provided strong support for her performance.

It is reported that Niu Chunge was named the Best Asian Junior Athlete by the Asian Athletics Association in 2017, with a personal best of 4.63 meters and a season-best of 4.60 meters. In February 2025, she also won the women's pole vault event at the 2025 National Indoor Athletics Grand Prix (2nd leg).
