The World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing 25 will be held in Nanjing from March 21st to 23rd. From venue construction to event organization and from athlete support to shaping the urban vibe, Nanjing is welcoming this globally anticipated sports event in its best condition.
At present, 838 "Little Lime" volunteers recruited for this competition (including 138 reserve volunteers) are ready to go. At that time, this group of young people will inject warmth and vitality into this competition, showcasing the youthful pulse of Nanjing to guests from more than 150 countries and regions.
66 job positions with diverse service types
Last year, once the recruitment information for volunteers was released, a "heatwave" was caused in universities. "I am an English major and would like to apply!" "Can medical students register as professional volunteers?"... A series of enthusiastic inquiries flooded in, filled with the enthusiasm of students planning to participate.

It is reported that five universities, including Southeast University, Hohai University, Nanjing Audit University, Nanjing Sport Institute, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Jincheng College, have become volunteer service "talent bases" for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing 25, providing a large number of enthusiastic and professional youth forces for the event.
It is worth mentioning that in order to better serve participants from all over the world, about 20 foreign volunteers have been specially recruited for this event, who will add more international elements to the event.
Starting from the 14th, volunteers will arrive successively to provide services such as arrival and departure assistance, venue operations, guest reception, event displays, and medical support. With a pragmatic attitude and meticulous service abilities, they will safeguard the outstanding performance of athletes and the smooth progress of the events, injecting vitality into this international sports event with their youth and enthusiasm.
Systematization of four stage training courses
Volunteers in large-scale events, like the "small gears" in "big machines", not only take on multiple positions and responsibilities but also need to operate in an orderly and precise manner. A systematic and comprehensive training session has been quietly launched to ensure their competency in event service work.

"In order to enable volunteers to master service knowledge and skills related to the competition, volunteers will receive four stages of training before the competition." Wang Ating, a staff member of the Social Liaison Department (Volunteer Work Department) of the Nanjing Youth League Committee, told reporters that the online security training for volunteers by the World Athletics has been successfully completed. Next, volunteers will receive general volunteer training, venue training, and on-the-job practical training to further enhance their service capabilities and professional qualities.
Dots of light converge into a dazzling star. Nowadays, volunteer service has become a "golden business card" showcasing Nanjing's soft power. In the spring breeze of Nanjing, 838 "Little Lime" volunteers will also rush to this athletics event in the name of youth.
