On March 23(Beijing time), the final day of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing 25 took place. In the last event, the women’s 4×400m relay final, Team USA claimed victory with a time of 3:27.45. Poland secured the silver medal with 3:32.05, while Australia finished third with 3:32.65.
During the final, USA’s Alexis Holmes showcased her experience, working seamlessly with her teammates to ensure smooth baton exchanges. Their outstanding performance and dominant lead brought the competition to its climax.
Notably, Poland, Australia, and China all achieved their season-best times in this race. Team China finished in fourth place with a time of 3:38.56. The Chinese team, composed of relatively young athletes, included rising star LIU Yinglan, born in 2005. In a post-race interview, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying, “This was a rare chance for us, and we cherished the experience. We were well-prepared, but there’s still a gap between us and our competitors. It’s a bit regrettable, but I believe we will perform even better in outdoor competitions.
