At noon on March 22, World Athletics event operations coordinator Daniela BRATOVEANU visited the “Volunteer Home” to experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the volunteers. During her visit, she carefully used a Chinese calligraphy brush to write “LOVE WIC NANJING VOLUNTEERS!” on paper. She also added four heart symbols and wrote “XIE XIE” (meaning “thank you”) in Chinese pinyin to express her gratitude. “I'm very satisfied with the dedication and quality of every volunteer’s work, so I wanted to express my love for all of them,” she said. She also praised Nanjing, calling it a city with a wonderful culture, but what impressed her the most was the people—warm, welcoming, and simply amazing. “I love Nanjing!”
